Control Your Serving Sizes

Nowadays there is greater concern about the food we eat. Restaurants and the food industry in general offer healthier, better quality food, but our greatest concern becomes how much to eat.

New studies have shown that servings have increased in size, and because of this, calorie content has increased as well.  What we consider a normal serving size today was not so normal two decades ago. This distortion in serving size may be a contributing factor to the increased occurrences of obesity and other  diseases .

Control Your Serving Sizes

To be in charge, try following these steps:

  • Pay attention to the size of the servings you serve yourself.
  • Avoid giant or super sized  foods .
  • Serve food on  small plates.
  • Try to eat a healthy and balanced diet.
